2½" & 3" WRAS Failsafe Motorised Ball Valve – CNX50S
Heavy-duty WRAS approved motorised ball valve combining full-bore brass ball valve with our CNX50S 50Nm Smart Series electric actuator, designed for automatic water isolation, building services and industrial fluid control applications.
Available in 2½" and 3" BSP, the valve incorporates an ISO 5211 F07 direct mounting platform and is supplied as a complete assembled and tested motorised valve package.
The CNX50S provides approximately 12 second open/close operation, visual position indication, manual override, volt-free open and closed position feedback, anti-condensation heater and OLED status display.
A built-in capacitor failsafe system automatically drives the valve to its predetermined safe position following loss of electrical power.

The ball valve is WRAS approved for use in installations subject to the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Scottish Water Byelaws.

Power Failure Failsafe
The CNX50S incorporates an energy-storage failsafe system designed to automatically reposition the valve following loss of electrical power.
Failsafe Closed is the standard configuration for this product.
Following operation of the failsafe system, allow approximately 1.5–2 minutes with power restored for the capacitors to recharge before relying on another failsafe operation.
Position Feedback & Control
The Smart Series actuator provides independent open and closed position feedback switches, allowing valve position to be monitored by a BMS, PLC, control panel or other external control system.

Anti-Condensation Heater
An internal thermostatically controlled anti-condensation heater helps reduce moisture formation within the actuator enclosure where ambient temperature changes could otherwise cause condensation.
This makes the actuator particularly suitable for plant rooms, water systems and demanding industrial installations.
