1/4" 5/2 NAMUR 316 Stainless Double Solenoid Valve – SCY520-02D
The Shako SCY520-02D is a high-flow 1/4" 5/2 way double solenoid NAMUR valve manufactured from 316 stainless steel for direct mounting onto double-acting quarter-turn pneumatic actuators.
Featuring internal pilot operation and a bistable double-solenoid design, the valve switches the actuator in either direction by energising the corresponding solenoid and maintains its last selected position after the electrical signal is removed.
The corrosion-resistant SUS316 stainless steel body, 35mm² effective flow area, lockable manual overrides and direct NAMUR mounting make the SCY520-02D particularly suitable for demanding process automation, chemical, water treatment and industrial valve actuator applications.
Optional ATEX / IECEx explosion-protected and Ex ia intrinsically safe solenoid operators are available for hazardous area installations.

The intrinsically safe version must be incorporated into a correctly designed Ex ia circuit using a suitable approved intrinsically safe barrier.
Double Solenoid Bistable Operation
The SCY520-02D uses two solenoid pilots to control the position of its 5/2 way spool.
Solenoid A energised → The spool shifts to supply one side of the double-acting actuator while exhausting the opposite side.
Solenoid B energised → The spool shifts in the opposite direction, reversing the actuator.
When the electrical signal is removed, the valve remains in its last switched position until the opposite solenoid is energised.
This bistable operation means continuous electrical power is not required to maintain the selected spool position.
NAMUR Actuator Mounting
The SCY520-02D mounts directly onto compatible double-acting quarter-turn pneumatic actuators using the NAMUR mounting interface.
Direct mounting reduces external pneumatic tubing between the directional valve and actuator, producing a compact installation with fewer external connections.
