1/4" 3/2 Universal Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve – ERA SIB 306390-0142
The ERA SIB 306390-0142 is a compact 1/4" 3/2 way universal direct-acting stainless steel solenoid valve designed for compressed air, inert gases and compatible industrial gas applications at pressures from 0 to 10 Bar.
Its universal 3-port, 2-position design allows the same valve to be configured for normally closed, normally open or diverting operation. Direct-acting operation eliminates the need for a minimum pressure differential, making the valve suitable for systems where operating pressure may fall to zero.
Manufactured from 316 stainless steel with stainless steel internals, a 6mm orifice and NBR seals as standard, the 306390-0142 provides a water-equivalent flow of 5 L/min at 1 Bar pressure difference. The original model has now been replaced by the CNXCBPI036.0U, which retains the same dimensions and core technical specification while introducing a machined stainless steel body and improved Ex d hazardous-area option.

The universal three-port design allows the 306390-0142 to be connected for three principal functions:
✓ 3/2 way normally closed
✓ 3/2 way normally open
✓ 3-way diverting operation
This provides greater installation flexibility than a dedicated normally closed or normally open valve and makes the 306390 particularly useful for pneumatic switching, gas control and OEM machinery.
Direct Acting – Zero Pressure Operation
The 306390-0142 is direct acting, meaning the solenoid operates the valve mechanism directly rather than relying upon inlet pressure to pilot the valve.
No minimum differential pressure is therefore required.
Pressure range: 0 to 10 Bar
This allows reliable switching even when system pressure falls to zero during start-up or shutdown.
The valve is not suitable for vacuum service.

Replacement – CNXCBPI036.0U
The original ERA SIB 306390-0142 has now been replaced by the CNXCBPI036.0U.
The replacement retains the important dimensional and operating characteristics of the original valve, including:

✓ 5 L/min flow
✓ NBR or FKM sealing
The principal construction improvement is a machined stainless steel body rather than the original cast stainless steel body.
This provides a modern replacement while retaining compatibility with existing installations.
Improved Ex d ATEX Option
The current CNXCBPI036.0U replacement also provides an improved Ex d explosion-protected solenoid option for hazardous-area applications.
This makes the replacement particularly useful for gas, petrochemical, process and hazardous-area installations where explosion-protected electrical operation is required.
The exact Ex certification and temperature classification should be selected according to the required coil/operator configuration.
