1/4" NAMUR Pneumatic Solenoid Valve – CY525-02S 3/2 & 5/2 Way
The CY525-02S is a versatile 1/4" NAMUR pneumatic solenoid valve designed for direct mounting onto quarter-turn pneumatic actuators used with ball valves, butterfly valves and process control equipment.
A reversible NAMUR switching gasket allows the same valve to be configured for either 3/2 way operation with single-acting spring-return actuators or 5/2 way operation with double-acting actuators. This reduces the number of different NAMUR valves required for actuator assembly, replacement and stockholding.
Featuring internal pilot operation, lockable manual override, IP65 protection and optional ATEX / IECEx or Intrinsically Safe solenoid operators, the CY525-02S provides a flexible solution for general industrial and hazardous-area pneumatic actuator control.

NAMUR 3/2 & 5/2 Way Configuration
The supplied reversible NAMUR switching gasket allows the CY525-02S to be converted between 3/2 and 5/2 way operation without changing the valve body.
3/2 Way
Used with single-acting spring-return pneumatic actuators.
Energising the solenoid supplies pilot air to operate the actuator. When electrical power is removed, the valve spring returns and allows the pneumatic actuator's internal springs to return the actuator to its normal position.
5/2 Way
Used with double-acting pneumatic actuators.
Energising and de-energising the single-solenoid spring-return valve alternately supplies compressed air to the actuator ports, providing powered movement in both directions.
This configurable design allows one CY525 valve platform to be used with both common types of quarter-turn pneumatic actuator.
