Flanged Pilot-Assisted Pressure Sustaining (Back Pressure) Valve – Z-Tide Industrial BFS Series
The Z-Tide Industrial BFS Series is a heavy-duty flanged pilot-assisted pressure sustaining (back pressure) valve designed to automatically maintain a minimum upstream pressure in high-flow water and compatible fluid systems.
Featuring an externally piloted pressure-assisted piston design, the BFS continuously monitors upstream pressure and automatically modulates the main valve to maintain the selected minimum back pressure despite changes in downstream flow demand. This helps protect booster pumps and upstream equipment while maintaining stable system pressure.
Manufactured from epoxy-coated ductile iron with bronze piston, cylinder and seating components, the BFS combines exceptionally high flow capacity with robust industrial construction. Available from DN50 to DN200 with PN16 flanges as standard, with ANSI 150 lb, JIS10K, JIS20K, PN10, PN20 and alternative flange standards also available.
Ideal for booster pump protection, water distribution networks, pressure zoning, industrial process water, cooling systems and municipal water infrastructure.

Manufactured using a heavy-duty epoxy-coated ductile iron body with bronze piston and precision-machined bronze and stainless steel internal components, the Z-Tide Industrial BFS Series has been engineered for reliable long-term operation in demanding industrial environments. Its pilot-assisted pressure sustaining controller continuously monitors upstream pressure and automatically adjusts the main valve to maintain the selected minimum back pressure, protecting upstream equipment and maintaining stable system operation regardless of downstream demand. The patented cylindrical piston design provides exceptionally high flow capacity while the externally mounted stainless steel pressure gauge allows simple commissioning, adjustment and routine monitoring. The removable pilot controller further simplifies maintenance by allowing servicing without removing the main valve body from the pipeline.
