316 Stainless Steel Pressure Sustaining Valve – Z-Tide Industrial RFT Series
The Z-Tide Industrial RFT Series is a precision direct-acting pressure sustaining and back pressure valve designed to automatically maintain a constant minimum upstream pressure in industrial water, compressed air, gas and compatible process fluid systems.
Manufactured from 316 stainless steel with a balanced piston and diaphragm design, the RFT provides stable and repeatable back pressure regulation despite changes in downstream demand. Available in threaded sizes from ½" to 2", with adjustable pressure ranges up to 10 Bar, the RFT is particularly suited to water treatment, RO systems, compressed air, chemical processing and industrial applications requiring dependable upstream pressure control.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: Direct-acting pressure sustaining valve
Alternative function: Back pressure valve (BPV)
Operating principle: Balanced piston and diaphragm
The valve automatically regulates flow to maintain the selected minimum pressure on the upstream side of the valve. If upstream pressure begins to fall below the set point, the valve restricts flow to protect and sustain the required upstream pressure. As upstream pressure increases, the valve opens further to allow additional flow downstream.

The balanced piston and diaphragm design automatically maintains the selected back pressure despite changing downstream demand, while precision UH-ring sealing provides excellent sealing performance, rapid response and long service life.
The supplied stainless steel pressure gauge continuously displays the sustained upstream pressure for straightforward commissioning and monitoring. On ½" to 1" models, an external adjustment screw provides convenient pressure setting, while the concealed adjustment mechanism used on 1½" and 2" models helps protect the setting against accidental adjustment.
Optional Duplex stainless steel construction, alternative seal materials, thread standards and pressure adjustment ranges are available for specialist applications.

Simply select the required port size, back pressure adjustment range and seal material before adding the valve to your basket.
Standard sizes are ½", ¾", 1", 1½" and 2" BSPT, with optional NPT or BSPP (G) threads available.
NBR seals are standard, with FKM (Viton) or EPDM options available. Optional Duplex stainless steel construction and alternative pressure adjustment ranges are also available on request.
